Ghibli Park or the Ghibli Museum? How to choose (or do both)

Written by Mika T.

The Mitaka museum in Tokyo is small, dense and dreamlike — a couple of hours inside a building that feels hand-drawn. Ghibli Park near Nagoya is the opposite: a full day spread across forested areas you walk between, each recreating a film's world at human scale.

If your trip is Tokyo-only and short, the museum is the move. If you have a day to give and you're travelling toward Kansai anyway, the park rewards the detour — but only with timed tickets and a route plan, because the areas are far apart.

Both sell out far in advance, so we point you to the partner that releases the hard-to-get entries and help you plan around them — you book directly, and bring the wonder.

We share recommendations and route ideas only — we never arrange, sell, or take payment for travel. You book each experience yourself with our trusted partners.(情報提供のみ。手配・販売は行いません。)
